We are a dispensing practice. We are allowed to dispense medication to those patients who live further than a mile (as the crow flies) from their nearest pharmacy. Your eligibility for this is usually checked at registration, however if you think we have got this wrong please let us know.
Patients who live more than a mile from a chemist may have their prescriptions dispensed from our Witley Surgery Dispensary, all other patients may use a pharmacy of their choice. You will be advised about this when you register.
If you are receiving long-term drug treatment you will be given a repeat prescription form which can be used to obtain repeat drugs without having to see your doctor every time. You will however, be seen at regular intervals to review your treatment.
The surgery now offers a free delivery service to our dispensing patients who are housebound or disabled. If you are interested in using this service please ask our dispensers for details.
Telephone calls to the dispensary will only be taken after 12:30.
Opening times
Dispensary is open daily Monday-Friday, 08:00-13:00 and 14:00-18:30. NB The Dispensary is closed 1-2pm. Please allow 3 working days (72 hours) for repeat prescription requests. Patients will be sent a text message when their medication is ready for collection.
